ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE NAVIGATOR
Shark Marine Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of underwater imaging equipment, ROV and underwater survey systems announces the "NAVIGATOR".
The "NAVIGATOR" is an underwater navigation and sonar unit designed for diver operation. The sonar and navigation data are
displayed on a 5" LCD screen and controlled by the diver through Windows based software. Weighing only 2.5 lb. in water, including the front mounted multibeam sonar, the unit is
extremely portable. The "NAVIGATOR" is used for, but not limited to, Mine countermeasures, Navy Ops, Search and recovery, Hull inspections, Underwater archaeology, Diver guidance and Surveillance.
Options include GPS, Digital Camera, Acoustic Positioning System (APS), Magnetometer or cable tracker, Depth and compass to provide the diver with even more information and to keep a log of underwater activity. The "NAVIGATOR" can also be attached to a Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) for navigation and obstacle avoidance. The "NAVIGATOR" is truly versatile as almost any personal computer based equipment may be interfaced. The "NAVIGATOR" introduces a new generation of underwater tools for Navy, Commercial and Research divers.
