St. Catharines, Ontario, December 20, 2006 – Shark Marine Technologies
Inc. announces an agreement with BlueView Technologies Inc to implement
BlueView’s miniature multibeam sonar into The Shark Marine Navigator,
self contained diver guidance and sonar locating system. Shark Marine
Technologies Inc. is now using BlueView’s sonar on its second generation
of self contained diver hand-held navigation systems. “In a situation
with low or no visibility, reliable high-definition sonar technology is
an essential tool to provide adequate underwater vision” said Jim
Garrington, President of Shark Marine Technologies Inc. The BlueView’s
combination of low-power draw, and performance, make it the ideal
compliment for the Navigator.
The Navigator is a fully mature product for underwater detection,
location and guidance, and has numerous standard features including a
sharp 5” daylight readable LCD screen, a surface and shallow water GPS
navigation system, and hot swappable wet pluggable battery packs.
Multiple Wet Pluggable Data Ports present seemingly limitless
expandability for a variety of accessories, such as doppler and acoustic
navigation, real time beach profiling systems, magnetometers and more.
The compact BlueView P450E (450KHz) and P900E (900KHz) family of
swappable plug and play multi-beam sonar is being used by key customers
such as the US Navy, Port Authorities, Law Enforcement, Oil & Gas and
Dive operations. The platform flexibility and ease of integration has
been proven in a wide variety of applications including boat mounted,
ROV, AUV/UUV and diver hand-held systems allowing users to accomplish
previously difficult or impossible missions such as inspections,
detection, and navigation work in zero-visibility conditions.
